Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m so glad you're here! I’m Kelly, a homeschooling mother of five (and a CPA in a previous life). When I’m not teaching differential equations or Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation, you’ll find me in the kitchen, whipping up something good to eat for my hungry crew.
The foods we eat are an integral part of family time – meals, get-togethers, holidays, and celebrations. I started this blog so that I could share the foods that my family loves. I hope to share our favorites and inspire you to create something soul-warming and wonderful for your family and friends.
There's nothing so frustrating as trying a new recipe - shopping for the ingredients; the time, money, and effort that goes into making it; and the excitement for a delicious outcome - only to have an absolute flop. I've definitely had my fair share of screw-ups and disasters in the kitchen. I hate that feeling - wasted time and money, dashed hopes. It can make me never want to step foot in the kitchen again, it's so discouraging. I want to help you avoid that feeling. All of my recipes have been tested, retested, and retested. Many of them I have been perfecting for years.
One of my favorite kitchen pastimes is finding the perfect recipe. Always searching for the ultimate recipe, I search, test, compare, and adjust until I've found the version that my taste testers declare their favorite. Blind taste tests when all the family are gathered around the dinner table are great fun! That, of course, takes a lot of time, work, and patience. Putting three different versions of meatloaf on the table for dinner can take hours. By sharing my recipes, I hope to save you the trouble so you can go straight to enjoying something fabulous!
