🍊What is Hawaiian POG juice?
POG juice is a refreshing blend of three juices:
- Passion fruit - adds a hint of exotic tartness
- Orange juice - brings a bright citrusy sweetness
- Guava juice - infuses a lush, floral note
If you love cooling off with fruity, refreshing drinks, try my fresh strawberry juice, peach iced tea, or cherry lemonade. For something even colder, a frozen mangonada or banana milkshake will really hit the spot.
❤️ Why you’ll love this recipe
- POG juice is naturally sweet and tangy with layers of refreshing, tropical flavors. One sip will transport you to a sun-kissed beach.
- It’s become an iconic drink at Disney where it’s known as Jungle Juice, POG Juice, Stitch Juice, or Liliko’i Juice.
- Originally from Hawaii, it gets its name from the vibrant blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava juices.
- The flavors in this trio of juices are so beloved across Hawaii that you can find POG-flavored sodas, cocktails, smoothies, and even popsicles.
- A simple recipe that’s easy to make with juices mixed in a 1:1:1 ratio.
📝 Ingredients
- Passion fruit juice: Look for 100% juice or passion fruit nectar. Many passion fruit juice blends are mostly pear juice. I make my own homemade passion fruit juice.
- Orange juice: Fresh squeezed for the best taste or from a container.
- Guava juice: Look for nectar or juice, not puree or pulp.
🥄 How to make POG juice
Simply combine one part passion fruit juice with one part orange juice, and one part guava juice. Stir to combine and serve chilled.
👩🏼🍳 Chef’s Tips
- Use the best quality juices that are 100% passion fruit, guava, or orange juice. Ceres makes one that is 100% passion fruit (and 100% guava) and one that says 100% Juice (Blend) that’s mostly pear juice.
- 100% passion fruit juice isn’t always easy to find, so I make my own following this recipe for homemade passion fruit juice.
- You can also use passion fruit and guava nectar.
- Latino markets are a good place to look for passion fruit and guava juice or nectar.
- Don’t add ice until serving, it will water down your juice as it melts. Add ice cubes to individual glasses and then pour the POG juice over the ice.
- Make POG ice cubes by freezing juice in ice cube trays. That way the juice will be cold without being watered down.
- Easy to scale up or down – just mix the juices in a 1:1:1 ratio
🍓 More fruity, refreshing drinks:
- Strawberry juice
- Peach iced tea
- Cherry lemonade
- Mangonada
- Banana milkshake
- Banana milk
- Korean Strawberry milk

Oh this would be right up my alley! I haven't had the Disney version, but I do love juice. Fortunately it seems like some of these "rarer" juices are becoming easier to find these days. Putting this on the list!

The passion fruit juice was harder to find but is pretty easy to make at home. Thanks David!
